The lights are on
Irrational Games' Ken Levine is returning to his roots. No, that doesn't mean we're getting another System Shock. Levine, who started out as a film writer, will be penning the script for Warner Bros.' Logan's Run remake.
The original, released in 1976 and directed by Michael Anderson, was based on a book of the same name by William F. Nolan and George Clayton. While the details differ, both feature societies in which citizens are voluntarily executed for the good of the community upon reaching a certain age. Interestingly, Logan's Run is known in part for its unique setting, a domed city. Levine's experience with the unique backdrops of Rapture and Columbia make this a perfect match.
According to a Deadline report, Levine isn't abandoning the video game industry. He's just taking a little break.
Irrational's most recent title, Bioshock Infinite. The title, which met delays and creative departures, finally arrived in March 2013 to significant critical and commercial success. We've reached out to both Levine and 2K Games for comment and details.

Oh man, Levine is perfect for this.
Makes you wonder when all this promised Bioshock Infinite DLC will come out though. I mean I for one wouldn't want to play it unless Levine wrote them.
lol maybe they can make the DLC after the movie.
that's an eff you to anyone who bought that season pass.
I adore his writing and this will be a great project.
Logans' Run remake?
Ken Levine writing it?
If Ken Levine is involved with it than I'm excited. I love his writing, some of the best ever. I hope he doesn't stay away from video games for too long.
Levine is a great story teller and I would be very interesting in the movie if he actually writes it.
But first lets work on the Season Pass DLC lol
I hope Levine nails this because he is an astounding writer.
With Nicolas Winding Refn directing and Ken Levine writing I have high hopes for this and hope for nothing but the best for Ken he is a truly talented writer.
Funny how when Hollywood turned him down, he made some amazing video games and now they're all over him. Way to go sir!
I actually loved Logan's Run, and I do love KL. A match made in heaven I'd say.
So was the book any good?
Nice. Congrats! He's a great writer.
