The lights are on
No one said saving the world was easy (or inexpensive). 2K Games has announced that its strategy masterpiece, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, will be arriving on iOS devices on Thursday, June 20, 2013.
Those eager to take the fight to the aliens on the go should be ready to spend $19.99. 2K Games tells us that the port was carefully adapted for touch devices. Everything from the console and PC versions is intact, except for the multiplayer. Head-to-head play will be added for free later. If you've got an iPad 2 or later, iPhone 4S or 5, iPad Mini, or fifth-generation iPod touch, you can tackle the alien incursion.
The premium price reflects a top-tier experience, but we have to wonder if the cost is going to put some people off. What do you think? Is $19.99 too much for a mobile title?

I think I played this game for 12 hours yesterday....I dunno I'm not sure, sort of went into a mini X-com coma.
Should be interesting...
Given how beefy the game is, 20 bucks seems fair. Playing head-to-head seems like a good time, as well.
Wish it was on Android so I could play it on my Note 2. Don't know how anyone can play it on that small ass iPhone screen.
Don't forget folks, this game is free for PSN+ members right now!
I think its a bit high but if it has a good control scheme then it would be a great title to have on the go.
Loved this game, gonna replay it again eventually!
Cant wait to play this again
I think the price point is fine. If it has all the trappings the console/pc has, then yes...$20 is a steal
Got the PC version for $13, so i don't know what to think of this :-/
Not if people paid $60 for the same game.
Yes. Yes it is.
This is totally a game that would be great on the go! I love the console version and I'm playing it right now for the 2nd time. I'll deffinitely get this for my phone whenever I get a new one with more memory lol.
If it's the full game just with scaled-down graphics then I see no problem with paying that much.
Awesome. I'm eager to see how well it works on mobile devices.
