The lights are on
One more piece of the next-gen pricing puzzle has been clicked into place. Microsoft will be holding retail prices constant at $60. Publishers still have yet to disclose their own plans, though.
This news, which comes by way of Gamespot, should come as a relief to consumers afraid that new hardware would bring a new price tag. When the Playstation 4 was announced, president and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America Jack Tretton confirmed that the games for that system will range between $.99 and $60.

i miss when games was $30
Is $30-$40 really that unreasonable for a new game? The $60 price is the reason that only my favorite companies gets a new copy bought by me.

What a relief. I didn't want to have to pay more than $60 for my games, and this makes my wallet, along with my mind and sanity, happier than ever.
