The lights are on
State of Decay, the very successful Xbox Live Arcade game, send out its first patch recently, and it's causing some problems.
Basically, the issues that were supposed to be addressed by the patch (you can check out the patch notes here), are simply not being addressed. There was some kind of error with the patch, and while some people have been lucky and are reporting that the patch has been successful, the majority are still experiencing problems. Developer Undead Labs has identified the problem, however, and released a statement on the game's official message boards. You can check out part of the statement below.
"First, I want to apologize. This is not acceptable, and you deserve better than this.Second, we're on the phone with our publisher right now getting everyone mobilized. There's nothing we can do at UL to fix this problem. Once the update has been handed off, the process of getting it to you is something only the Xbox people can handle. So, we're calling in the troops to get going on solving this problem immediately.Third, although we can't directly fix the problem, you are OUR players, and we'd like you to know we're exploring ways to express our appreciation for your patience. In the meantime, see "first."I wanted to let you know what was going on as soon as we had it nailed down. We don't have an ETA on a solution (see "second"). Stay tuned for more information as we get it."

Its a well done game with a few bugs, overall a great experience and the developers really do care about sending out a quality game.
this is why M$s way of doing it sucks
I keep having a glitch where I need to help defend survivors homes and EVERY TIME a zombie gets stuck in the floor causing the quest to never stop since you have to kill ALL the zombies....sucks.
For all of you thinking about buying this game it is worth it. Just wait till they fix this and download it.
Well at least they are honest and take responsibility for the mistake. And it makes me happy to see the dev working hard to try and solve the issue quickly. So kudos there.
This game looks really fun, and I'm glad to see the developers really care about the fanbase!
Tried the demo, when this is fully patched I'll def get the whole game.
good thing i haven't bought the game yet
Usually we're getting first patches that fix problems, not cause them. I still can't decide what zombie games to play and what to ignore.
The game has its glitches, but you know what - this game is absolutely amazing. I would love to see them tackle a full scale game with top notch graphics and a more stable engine. But for an arcade game, you most definitely get your bang for the buck! I haven't played a game so obsessively for so long!
Well thats a damn shame for the xbox users..Guess Iam glad I waited for the PC release now.
I'm really loving this game. I'm so addicted too it. I do wish some bugs (Random dialogue when characters aren't there, guns not aiming, only reticle showing up) but the show is ridiculously addicting. Best of luck to Undead Labs.
Seems like a classy developer, at least they're cracking the whips to get this fixed. Also, got a chuckle out of them rolling Microsoft under the bus.
Great game despite the glitches, and bugs, but I'm glad to see Undead Labs reaching out to its players and at least giving us information on the situation. I respect UL for their desire to get this whole thing under control.
This sort of things suck
