The lights are on
Shortly after the announcement of Sunset Overdrive during Microsoft's E3 press conference, Insomniac's CEO Ted Price posted a message on the company's website offering a few more details about the game, and why it's exclusive to Xbox One.
The trailer showcased a parkour runner taking on mutants in what appeared to be an abandoned city. The game's official description reads, "With an arsenal of kick-a**, overpowered weapons and a knack for traversing the city with hyper agility, it’s not the end of days for you. Your story is just beginning.” Here is Price's reasoning for making the game an Xbox One exclusive:
"It may surprise some of our longtime fans that we have partnered with Microsoft Studios to develop Sunset Overdrive exclusively for Xbox One. When we first began discussing this idea with Microsoft, we were initially hesitant to shift back into an exclusive arrangement. But as the Microsoft team began introducing us to the abilities and philosophies driving the development of Xbox One, we knew that Sunset Overdrive was a perfect fit. The Xbox One and Xbox Live will support our ambitions to create an ongoing two-way dialogue with our community. It will also allow us to have quicker production cycles, enabling timely content updates for new weapons, characters, storylines and even pop culture-relevant content like memes based on social commentary."

Please god no, just write real jokes. When will this word die and everyone will feel embarrassed they used it and embraced it?
Insomniac is turning into a bunch of hypocrites. You said you wanted to share your games with every one after Fuse was announced as a multiplatform game and then you go and do this? I have no problem with you working Microsoft but going back on your prior statements is not cool.
Man, I sure can't wait for those Le Maymays in my epic new xbox1 game console #meme #le #9gagisbest #I<3memes ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
So that's why I'm excited about Killzone Shadow fall instead of new Insomniac IP. When Ted Price said they wanted to develop multiconsole and make their games accessible to more gamers, I said to myself that's great for them and hopefully new fans. Now I'm confused though. What studio is making this game? The original Insomniac studio was supposed to stay exclusive and the new one just barley finished Fuze. Sony has given them them headlining positions on three consoles with three different franchises that have helped their careers and they show their loyalty by going exclusive to the competition and talking Microsoft up and inadvertently bad mouthing Sony! But you know what Guerrilla makes better games so I am glad they are headlining Sony now. The last two Ratches were not appealing and Resistance 3 while decent was not what fans where hoping for.
they never gave a soilid reason why its an exclusive lol
I really like Insomniac. The Ratchet and Clank games are some of my favorite games, and the Spyro games they made were pretty good too. This game actually looks really promising, much more than Fuse ever did. But, unfortunately, I will not be supporting this game. It has nothing to do with the game itself, but just the platform it is on.
Can't wait to check out some juego play.
After FUSE and the past two Ratchet and Clanks I don't have much faith in them.
I dont see a problem with making some Microsoft money, they have plenty to give. Day one i'm getting a xbox one
