The lights are on
Microsoft has teased some changes to its wildly popular Gamerscore/achievements system for the Xbox One, and the company has detailed some of them – as well as explaining what Xbox One's new challenges are all about.
At Major Nelson's blog there is an entry by Cierra McDonald, the program manager for the Xbox Live achievements service. McDonald went into detail about the cloud-based achievements and challenges on Xbox One.

Tempting, Microsoft. This, as well as exclusives however, are the only two features of the Xbox One that Microsoft seems to be doing right at the current moment.
I do like the changes I'm seeing.
I love it! It feels great that all of my achievement won't be in vein.
Sounds sexy! Can't wait to see if blu-ray movies will have achievements for doing things, it will force me to buy more movies lol
Seems nice, but seems like they are still unsure of the impact challenges will have, will there be a challegescore?
It seems like a good way to keep people playing a game they enjoy. If I like the game I am playing and am spending time with it, getting achievements as I go then I get more content to enjoy.
But what kind of rewards are there exactly?
I just recently passed 100,000 gamerscore so I'm glad that will carry over to the Xbox One and let me continue earning new achievements.
I suppose it could be much, much worse.
interesting,i wonder how trophies work on the PS4?
So from what I understand, achievement whores are going to be rewarded with stat boosts. Oh God why.
