The lights are on
The newly announced Mirror's Edge game is set in an open world, according to Electronic Arts.
During a recent analyst call, EA Labels president Frank Gibeau called the cult classic follow-up an "open-world action adventure game." Nothing was mentioned about how an open environment would influence the gameplay.
EA revealed Mirror's Edge 2 at the end of its E3 press conference. If you missed the trailer, you can watch it here.
The game is confirmed for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. As the end of the reveal trailer states, Mirror's Edge 2 will release "when it's ready."

The time has come and so have I...
The epicness of this post made by brain explode.
My excitement is doubled for this game now. Hopefully it is ready within a year or two.
Thatts is an exciting prospect
I shall likely be preordering this. And it should go without saying, but...for PS4. LOL XbOnE
*** YES !!!
That sounds awesome!
Just because something is open world doesn't mean it's instantly going to be good. Mirror's Edge was fantastic as a linear, level style game. I don't see the point of making it open world other than hearing the developers brag about how long it is.
Been waiting for this for a VERY long time. Glad they are making another ME.
Never played the first Mirrors Edge. Hopefully this game will be beginner friendly.
I enjoyed playing the first game, I need to see more to say on the second.
I have waited sooooo long for this to come out! Hope it's good!
I've enjoyed playing the first game and this one will probably out due the first game. Still show me more.
