The lights are on
Nintendo discussed Wii Party U at Nintendo Direct today. It takes the familiar form of a board game, but offers 80 brand new mini-games, many of which only use the Wii U gamepad. Although Wii Party U was originally slated to release this summer, it has been pushed back to allow Nintendo more time to work on it. Nintendo president Satoru Iwata humbly apologized to fans in the live stream.

Nintendo really bombed today..wow...
"OH NO!" - Said no one ever
I think it'll be a fun game to play with others, for a few hours. I don't know why they're calling it Wii Party U while they have most games being played with a single control. That doesn't make much sense.
Well, that's not really a big loss.
