The lights are on
Sony just wrapped up its press conference with its price announcement. After Microsoft announced at $499, eyes were on Sony to see what where they’d land. Good news, PlayStation fans, Sony just saved you some cheddar.
The PlayStation 4 will cost $399, €399, £349.

Dang, Sony. You just won my heart after Microsoft broke it and sold it to always on-line and used game passes. Congrats.
Announcing that price was the perfect conclusion to a solid presentation. I won't be able to play multiplayer online for free anymore, but with everything else that Sony is doing right going into this next generation, I think I won't have any problems paying for a Plus membership. I am finally excited for the next generation to begin.
Holy crap.. It's more powerful, cheaper by a hundo and no restrictions on used games nor always online.. Xbox fan boys.. Seriously, what have you to say about this?!
The Moment Kingdom Hearts 3 was shown, the price didn't even matter. HOWEVER at $399, icing on the cake baby
PS4 for $400!!! That is amazingly cheap considering the PS3 came out with $500 and $600. Sony Unleashed everything on Microsoft from the good news on used games to everything else they mentioned. I don't see how Microsoft can recover! Last gen was a close battle. This one Sony Reigns Supreme!!
And that's how you win a console war before its even released.
DANG..... That's cheap...
I love you Sony!!
Sony's PS4 looks like a revolutionized slim version of the PS2, which I still play and love. And it only cost $400. Sony kicks a**, including M$'s.
Super powerful machine, $100 cheaper, no restriction on used games, and Kingdom Hearts 3? That's pretty much everything I could have asked for (except for Half-Life 3, but that's another story).
Sony wins. Sony..you've officially reached the point of "Shut up and take my money and I'll thank you for it!" My only regret is that Sony hasn't announced more 1st party titles quite yet, or more launch titles. But there's plenty of time for that.
yes!!!!!! I am sold!!!!!!! GO SONY!!!!!! stopping the hell out of the competition. Kudos being smart and wanting to make $$ by pricing correctly. Consumers know when they are begin financially raped.
I got my PS3 for my B-day...Will get the PS4 and keep the tradition going.
