The lights are on
After pledging continued support for indie developers,
Microsoft vice president Phil Harrison announced that a bigger and better Minecraft
is coming to Xbox One.
Minecraft has been a huge hit on XBLA, and it appears that
Microsoft is planning for similar success with Mojang's sandbox title on Xbox
One. Harrison didn't say too much about the downloadable title, other than that
it features bigger maps and more multiplayer options. Map size was considerably limited in the XBLA version of Minecraft, so having expanded environments to explore will surely appeal to console players.

BEST. GAME. EVER!
Oh good. I just bought the 360 version and now it's going to be obsolete dangit.
I have a feeling that this will come to the PS4. I'm not sure why.
Either way I don't care. The PC version is the most expansive, so I will continue to play that.
Wow why play this one when to PC one is soooo much better? Whatever They can act all innovative and all that.
Minecraft is awesome but this really doesn't matter to me (and probably many others) since you can just play it on your XBOX 360, PC, or iOS/Android device. Even if it has "bigger maps" and "more multiplayer," this is still not enough to make me want to repurchase it. Also, I found it hilarious how Microsoft said that nobody is taking greater attempts for indies than Microsoft and XBOX One. Nintendo and Sony are treating indie developers SO much better than Microsoft is.
I hope they make Minecraft available to PlayStation consoles. I just want to build my own Hobbit hole.
I just hope they keep updating the 360 version.
Eh. I would love larger maps and more multiplayer options, but I really don't feel like tossing yet another $20 at Mojang for a third version of Minecraft. If it was available free for those who purchased it on 360, then sure. Or at least keep updating the 360 version as well.
