The lights are on
David Hayter won't be returning to voice Snake in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, but that doesn't mean we can't relive and enjoy every single time that Snake has asked a question about his mission.
As it turns out, Solid Snake basically never knows whats going on, something YouTube user Derek Lieu has done an excellent job of pointing out with his collection of clips from almost all of the Metal Gear Solid games.
Make sure to raise a curious eyebrow and check out the video below.

Yeah I knew this would end up being a thing. Raiden also asks a TON of questions in MGS2.
LOL!!!! That was quite a bit of work. Well done.
Haha, that's awesome.
I'll give him a few, but most of those I wouldn't consider curiosity questions. And even then, a few weren't even questions at all.
I already miss David Hayter as Snake.
It's interesting listening to his voice change slightly with age or excessive smoking as the games change.
One of the best videogame based videos ever. Damn Snake... I mean David, you sure ask a lot of questions.
Man, the more I listen to David Hayter's voice the more agitated I'm getting with the voice change. Especially the whole "Snake is in his late 40's and we want someone who can act that way" reasoning. Hayter is 44 and Sutherland is 46. Do those two years really equate THAT much of a difference?
Guys Kojima is trolling us.
Look Jack Bauer is doing Big boss voice and Hayter Solid Snake. In the game B. Boss will encounter S. Snake so you can't have the same voice for both characters in one game. Kojima knows that the shocking level will be enormous when we play the game and suddenly we hear Hayter's voice.
Haha I'm so glad someone else noticed this. Every time someone says a word or phrase I don't know, I repeat it in Snakes voice in the form of a question.
