The lights are on
A website posting photos of the Los Angeles Convention Center's lobby (where E3 is happening) show banners and posters for a game called Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare.
The images appeared on Gamekyo and show a slightly more realistic plant along with the requisite red sparks that adorn the box art for most action games.
This is the first we've heard of the game, but Kotaku is reporting that it has been told by a reliable source that the game is a shooter.
The Plants vs. Zombies brand recently ventured into the world of Facebook gaming, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Electronic Arts and PopCap games leverage the franchise in other genres. Whatever the game is, it will be appearing at Electronic Arts booth during the show, so we will have more information in a few days.

This is, intresting to say the least. I'll have to see gameplay before I can determine if the game will be good or not.
Awesome! I love Plants Vs. Zombies!
Am I the only one that thinks this is in line with all the PvZ puns they've been posting on their Facebook page? (Petal of Honor, Dead Face, and Grass Effect)
hahaha modern warfare
At first I thought they were talking about that FB PvZ game but then I remembered they registered this game as a domain for the sequel PvZ that later turned out to actually be "Its About Time". So Idk if this is an actual game since they already registered domains a while back, another spinoff PvZ or what.
"You got Plants vs. Zombies in my Call of Duty!" "No, you got Call of Duty in my Plants vs. Zombies!" "Let's make a game named Garden Warfare!" ... "Let's not and say we did." All jokes aside, I can't make an actual judgement until I know what the heck it is.
If this is real, how long before we see Activision suing for copying off the Modern Warfare brand? Obviously Garden and Modern aren't close...but to them it's close enough.
This just looks like one more of the posters they released earlier, like the 'Grass Effect' one, or the 'Dead Face' ad. While the past several years all they've seemed to be concerned about is aping CoD with all of their franchises, even I doubt they would go this far.
This is just like Grass Effect, or Dead Face. Garden Warfare was another one listed. It's just a pun, not a game.
Welp, better add this game to the list of games I need to get on every platform they have it for.
Enough is enough.
A shooter? What a shocking and original genre to tackle, EA!
(This news is sad)
Fifty-thousand plants used to live here. Now it's a ghost garden
Yay, Plants Vs. Zombies 2! I can't wait until....oh yea, EA owns PopCap, i forgot... skipping this one and moving on... Yay, PSO 2 this fall!
