The lights are on
A website posting photos of the Los Angeles Convention Center's lobby (where E3 is happening) show banners and posters for a game called Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare.
The images appeared on Gamekyo and show a slightly more realistic plant along with the requisite red sparks that adorn the box art for most action games.
This is the first we've heard of the game, but Kotaku is reporting that it has been told by a reliable source that the game is a shooter.
The Plants vs. Zombies brand recently ventured into the world of Facebook gaming, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Electronic Arts and PopCap games leverage the franchise in other genres. Whatever the game is, it will be appearing at Electronic Arts booth during the show, so we will have more information in a few days.

Watch this be like the L4D2 fan map.
Ever since they announced that the sequel would be free to play (BUY COINS NOW!!!) I lost interest in this franchise. Loved the original game.
I hope it's not another iOS timed exclusive, but I'm assuming it's a console release if it's a shooter? A PvZ shooter sounds far fetched but I'm willing to give PopCap the benefit of the doubt.
What I find the most amusing is that they don't capitalize on their own franchise for a name, but instead pun off Activision's. Well done EA / PopCap
It's a real playable garden game. The plants are expensive the zombies free.
Great...another Call of Duty copy...
So, they decided to make this into a shooter, that's really dumb.
Guys. it's a joke.....
