Nosgoth Is Not The Legacy Of Kain Title You Think It Is
Gamers have often wanted another Legacy of Kain title, and Square Enix says it's publishing one in the future. However, it won't be the traditional Legacy of Kain you may have been hoping for.
In a statement to VG247, Square Enix community manager George Kelion confirmed that Square Enix is working on a title in the series' universe. The catch? It's a multiplayer-focused game not being developed by franchise creators Crystal Dynamics. "Nosgoth exists and is in active development, but is not a traditional Legacy of Kain action-adventure game," Kelion said. "Nosgoth is set in the same universe as previous LoK games, but on a different branch to the Blood Omen and Soul Reaver series. The community should not be thinking of Nosgoth in terms of a single-player experience."
Kelion also stated that Crystal Dynamics are not only not working on Nosgoth, but aren't developing on a Legacy of Kain game, period. The game will not be at E3.
There have been previous signals of a Nosgoth title, including a domain registration and leaks that came from AMD and Steam.
