The lights are on
The special pack is currently an exclusive to Namco Bandai’s online store.
Armored Core: Verdict Day is the latest installment in the long-running mech combat franchise, which saw its first installment way back in 1997. Verdict Day is set for release this fall on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but if you pre-order a special version of the game through Namco Bandai’s own store, the publisher has some goodies in store for you.
The Club Namco bundle includes the game, a CD soundtrack, an art book, and a mech figurine, but the pack won’t come cheap at $149.99. Namco Bandai offers no word on whether some variation of the bundle may also eventually be available through other retailers.
Verdict Day continues many of the traditions the series is known for, but it’s notable that players will be able to transfer over save data from Armored Core V to access additional content in the new game – a nice bonus for longtime fans. The new installment also puts a big focus on a persistent multiplayer war, in which players can join a faction and compete for territory across the game world.

Because who doesn't love to get big toys with their game?
Ahhhh, my Gran Turismo of mech combat, how I love you so.
Dayuuum what a beautiful robot.
from software i love that you have kept ac alive since the launch of the psone, but i think you need to resurrect kingsfield too. those games would look sick on next gen hardware.
You guys better give this one a good review. Your reviews of the last three consisted of nothing but lies...
I want this but won't be getting it sadly.
Thank you From Software!!!!!!!!!
Hopefully they moved away from the mechanics of acV but I doubt it. I bought V and was extremely disappointed
Well THIS came under the radar. If I didn't suspect this game would maybe suck and I had the money, I'd get this solely for the action figure.
I loved, loved, loved AC 4: For Answer. It's one of the most fun games I've ever played. I loved tinkering around with different AC parts and creating my own custom machines. The storyline is good, the missions range from easy to absurdly hard (I finished the Old King story arc!!!) and I liked the 1 vs 1 ranking system. I think it's one of those games that will always have a place in my heart.
But I have to admit I don't like AC 5 at all. The AC's are smaller, slower, fly like bricks and I thought the controls were wonky compared to AC 4. AC 5's storyline is terrible and I want to strangle most of the NPC's, in particular the player's CO. While AC 4 had a poorly implemented online aspect (wait in lobby 20 minutes, fight 5 minutes, wait in lobby 20 minutes...) AC 4 was at least a game I enjoyed and would have wanted to play online. AC 5 I just don't care about playing at all, even with it's better online implementation.
I hope future installments in the series will return to the control system and giant flying robots of death that were in AC 4. Also for the love of all that is holy hire some decent story-writers!
I want to be able to transfer save data from my copy of the 1997 armored core. That is a long time fan. Also....aaaahhhhhhhhhh I WANT ALL OF THAT!
The reason I did not get this game nor am I even thinking of getting it is the mech design. I just hate how they look so short and stubby
Too bad. I want the figure but not $90 worth. I 'm still iffy on this game at all. I'm interested in trying the series again but multiplayer is a very minor feature for me, not themain focus.
