The lights are on
Ubisoft's upcoming Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag will allow gamers to explore the golden age of pirates through the lens of an Assassin, but an upcoming art book from Titan lets gamers explore the creation of the game itself.
The Art of Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag will release on October 28, which should give hungry fans exactly one day to explore the detailed environments and historical re-imaginings within it's pages before the game actually releases. Titan will also release a special slipcased edition, limited to 500 copies, which includes two exclusive Black Flag concept art prints, signed by the artists.
Oliver Bowden is also writing a novelization of the game, which will tell how Edward Kenway transitioned from privateer to pirate to Ubisoft's newest Assassin. But if you want to read more about Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and pirates right now, check out our interview with The Republic of Pirates author Colin Woodard.

I have always liked looking at pieces of art like this based off of a game or movie or whatever
Ah yes, now begins the maximizing of their profits for 2013... as if offering the game on 6 different platforms, offering 6 different pre order packs, 3 special editions, a replica gauntlet, soundtrack, and pirate history book wasn't enough.
Still not buying AC4...
I wanted a feudal Japan AC :(
Well...I preordered ACIII...I'm still on chapter 5...I should probably finish it someday, but I'm not too worried about it. I probably would have done more if the multiplayer was better in it. The compass was completely unreliable so it made multiplayer not really fun at all. I should put it in and see if there is a patch that fixes it.
So call of duty and assassins creed screwed and had another baby this year, awesome!
This game will be awesome and everyone knows that. Assassins Creed meets Wind Waker what's not to like. And unlike CoD Assassins Creed tries new things not just minor tweaks (minus Brotherhood)
Just beautiful!
Looks quite nice.
Thats a great cover!!
For some reason this page is giving me the option to delete or moderate every post and moderate users. Weird.
I used to look forward to every new AC release, but AC3 really let me down. I hope Black Flag brings me back to the excitement I had previously.
Out of all the AC games, this is the one i'd most likely buy. Never bought one before, but i've played some of them. Maybe it's the pirates that i like.
Looks like a AC game. The dead guy's a nice touch.
Looks pretty simple. But its all there, main character, ship, ocean, guns, words...........awesome.
