Tiny Brains Coming To PS4
Spearhead Games announced that its 4-player co-op game, previously announced for current-gen and PC, will be coming to Sony's new system this fall.
The game pits up to four players against a series of laboratory-based challenges. Each of the four playable characters is a small animal with enhanced abilities, which you can see in the trailer below.
The company revealed that it was developing for next-gen hardware on the official PlayStation Blog. The post reveals how the studio eschews traditional design-doc development in favor of a more experimental approach. That flexibility extends to the puzzles themselves. The physics-based challenges can be solved multiple ways – Spearhead says they've seen 16 possible solutions in the first level.
Sony is promoting its PS4 as a platform particularly suited to indie development. As Sony president of worldwide studios Shuhei Yoshida told us after the console was announced, smaller developers can choose to self-publish their games on the platform, setting their own prices and getting it out to consumers with minimal interference.
