The lights are on
The Payday 2 web series teased last month has arrived. Directed by Demian Lichtenstein of 3000 Miles to Graceland, the first episode follows Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf, and Chains as they – what else? – rob a bank with guns and creepy masks.
This video focuses on the four “modern day Robin Hoods” who prepare and execute a heist in Washington D.C. Ending when the real action starts, we’ll just have to wait for the next installment to see what sort of trouble the group really gets into.
New episodes will release every other week leading up to Payday 2’s launch this August on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Until then, check out our preview of the game to see how it stacks up against the original so far.
Seems like a genre Valve would be much better at.
"Robbing banks is fun with your friends." True true.
I loved the first game so I'm happy to see the team is doing well enough to have these videos leading up to the sequel. Here's hoping it remains true to it's promise of more tactical bank robbery.
Looks like a freddiew or CorridorDigital film, but maybe a little worse.
Entertaining, not a bad way to kill some break time while at work. Interested to see how they improved the next game. First one was fun when you played with people who knew what they were doing.
The men in the iron masks. ;-)
This definitely got me more interested in the series... Payday 1 was really fun, reminded me of L4D from how it was played, probably used a similar engine. But this web series is pretty sick
Guess you'd have to be a big Payday fan to get into this, but honestly, it's a shame that companies spend so much money on live-action tie ins like this and don't put more on the game.
Enjoyed the first game, even with its flaws. I'm happy a sequel is appearing. And this series looks like it will be fun to watch.
I actually enjoyed the first PayDay so I'm legitimately excited for the sequel. I hope that they differentiate between the 4 characters, last game they were all pretty generic.
Not gonna lie... This was pretty tame. I think I'm done after this episode.
This is cool and all, but I remember Hoxton being British.
I watched two minutes so far and Im not saying it is my favorite show but I really dont see why it is getting so much hate, but maybe that is just me.
