The lights are on
Udon Entertainment has announced that it's publishing a Dark Souls art book in collaboration with Namco Bandai and From Software. The book, Dark Souls: Design Works, will give readers the chance to see how the world of Lordran evolved from concept to finished product – and at a safe distance, too.
In addition to the visuals, the book contains an exclusive interview with game director Hidetaka Miyazaki and members of the game's art team. Take a look at the gallery below to see sample pages from Dark Souls: Design Works.
The 128-page hardcover book is due out in October.
Email the author Jeff Cork, or follow on Twitter, Google+, Facebook, and Game Informer.
Looks phenomenal. I was going to get Dark Souls for PC. Since it's terrible on KB/M and I don't want to purchase a controller just for Dark Souls I'm really anxious for Dark Souls 2.
It will be mine...oh yes, it will be mine
I need this.
I'm buying this.
This may be the first art book I will ever buy,
I need this. I just hope it isn't too expensive...
cant wait till number 2
Where can I purchase something of this magnitude?
I have the the Japanese version of this. It came out awhile ago over there. It's amazing. Any fan with the means to obtain one should do so.
Have the Japanese version and it is amazing. If you are a fan of Dark Souls, you should definitely get this. The artwork is very well done and it's interesting to see what didn't make the cut for the game, also reading the interviews provided some interesting ideas that never made it in. For example, characters like Priscilla and Andre were actually going to have bigger roles in the game.
