The lights are on
Update: GAME OVER.
GameStop (Game Informer's parent company) is running a special sale today for Injustice: Gods Among Us. From 1 PM Eastern until 2 PM (or when supplies run out), the latest from NetherRealm (creators of Mortal Kombat) is only $9.99.
You'll need to move quickly. The deal is only good while supplies last, and we suspect that at this price, they'll go quickly. On the fence about Injustice? Check out our review and put your fears aside.

I too tried to checkout when the server crashed. And now my cart is empty. Color me pissed.
Despite trying since it went live I could never get this into my cart. Same *** as thier May 4th deals.
LOL @ Gamestop!!! Try this awesome idea and it turns out to be an Absolute EPIC FAIL!!! They lost even more customers when they were just trying to get gamers to notice them and start doing business with them again. I really think Gamestop is run by a couple of 8 year olds.
So GI, are you going to get a statement from GameStop as to why this was a complete sh*tshow?
Went to pick it up with only a half hour left racing by. I got there to find out the computer crashed and they were all sold out >_<
Ah, just read this after it was over. Oh well, not a huge fan of fighting games anyway.
Wow. Wish I'd seen this earlier.
I fell like I've been scammed, I was at the website just after the sale started, I had logged in and had the game in my cart.....then it took a whole half hour to get to the checkout by which time it was gone!
Well that couldn't have went any less smoothly. I tried to buy the basic game, site crashed, never went through and sold out.... Then I tried to buy the $50 bundle and had the same exact problem. If you're going to do flash sales; make sure your server can handle people actually wanting to take advantage of said sale.
Dang. I'm flat broke. For 10 bucks I would have gotten a copy.
yea but that would have required me to shop at gamestop. And that is just something I would rather not do.
This was a joke just like the May 4th power up deals. An hour? More like a second. Everyone I saw trying to get this couldn't add it to their cart including myself when the sale started. Gamestop is doing this kind of crap too often lately.
Seriously? Why not have this when people are actually at home, rather than at school or work?
I had the item in my cart and was loading the payment screen when I got the gateway time out error. After 30 min+ of trying I got the notice my cart was now empty. I did contact them through the contact us link and got a tough luck response from them.
Gamestop has lost this customer for life. As soon as my Gameinformer subscription is up I will not renew. I refuse to support anything related to this horrible company.
