The lights are on
Lionhead has rebooted its Fable forums, providing fans an upgraded space to talk about the series. That's not much in and of itself, but the timing – a scant week before E3 – has us curious if there's more going on than a little online housekeeping.
Microsoft is showing off more of its new Xbox One console at E3. During its reveal event, Microsoft said that there were 15 games in development for the upcoming console. Fable has been a part of the Xbox (and its E3 stage presence) since the first game launched on the platform in 2004, so it wouldn't be that surprising if the company announced a new entry next week.
We haven't heard anything from the series since the Fable: The Journey, was released last year. The Kinect-powered game was a disappointment, so here's hoping that any upcoming games in the franchise bring the series back on course.
In the meantime, head over to new forums and poke around. Lionhead is giving people who register within the next two weeks a special forum medal, so get a move on.

Cool beans, can't wait for E3.
I didn't really like Fable 3 that much, so this isn't that exciting to me. Saying that, the only reason I felt disappointed is because of how much Peter Molyneux oversold the game.
I love the original Fable so much,I didn't care for 2 or 3 i knew journey was going to be bad (it's for Kinect, lets get real here)I'll always hope the series gets back to what made the original make great but I realize Fable 1 is just a one hit wonder for me.
I'm an RPG guy, but this series has never appealed to me. The combat is pathetically easy, the characters are shallow, and the world just isn't that fun to explore. But that's just my opinion. Who knows, maybe this one will be an improvement, though the reception Fable The Journey got is giving me doubts.
I liked the first three games, I did not enjoy The Journey however.
If it is Fable 4 make it good and don't feed us lies and disappoint.
Y'know, I really hope they do away with all of those annoying RPG elements in the next game...it was just really hard for me to get into a dating sim when I had all of those button mashing sequences.
Really though, despite the fact that I did enjoy Fable 3 a lot, I hope they make the next one more fleshed out, because if they streamline it anymore the game will really just end up being a dating sim with swords...
I really hope we get a good Fable game. Fable 2 was one of my favorites, but Fable 3 was just so.... disappointing. There were parts I liked, like the characters and a lot of the sidequests, but most of the new features either sucked compared to old game mechanics or didn't work at all. I will say they did a much better job with the dlc, Traitor's Keep (which had fantastic characters and a well written story), but it was a case of too little too late. Hopefully, now with Peter Molyneux gone they can breath some new life into the series without turning the game into and overblown sales pitch.
If its Fable 4 then i really hope they make it more like Fable: TLC. That game was fantastic but fable 2 and 3 were average.
Why? They never listened to any of the constructive criticism posted there.
