The lights are on
The weather is finally starting to cooperate here in Minnesota, so we’re going to celebrate the nice temperatures this weekend with lots and lots of video games. Indoors.
Ben Hanson: This weekend I hope to finish off Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. I thought that I was sick of the FPS genre, but this game is really hitting a sweet spot I didn't know existed. Outside of that, I have Tomb Raider sitting around making me feel more and more guilty with each day of negligence. Then there is always the draw of Hero Academy on my iPhone.
Jeff Marchiafava: Once again Humble Bundle convinced me to buy another pack of awesome indie games, so I think I’ll spend at least some of the weekend playing games on my laptop. I sadly still have to finish Tomb Raider too, and Blood Dragon isn’t going to download and play itself.
Tim Turi: This weekend I plan on finishing up Metro: Last Light. I’m enjoying it much more than Metro 2033 so far, and look forward to seeing the post-apocalyptic adventure through to the end. In other news, I started playing Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, a GBA game that I have on my 3DS. So far I like it. I’ve never beaten a Fire Emblem game, so we’ll see if I stick with it.
Liz Lanier: I’m taking advantage of my free time this weekend to catch up on some shorter titles I’m embarrassed to admit that I have not played yet. I’ll start off with Journey, which has been sitting on my PS3 untouched for far too long. Then I will be playing The Unfinished Swan and Limbo. If time and my old VAIO’s capabilities permit, I’ll move on to play To the Moon.
Brian Albert: The new Humble Indie Bundle was too tempting to pass up, even though I already own a number of its games. I liked the odd exploration of Dear Esther, so I’ll probably check out Proteus, which I’ve heard is sort of similar. Of course, I could just play Dark Souls again.
probably Blood Dragon, RDR, and some ssf 4 arcade edition. I bought x-com enemy unknown a month ago but have'nt started it so maybe this weekend not making any promises though
Enjoying the sun, cramming in some History revision and finding time in the evenings to get some Fuse co-op in. The game is kinda disappointing, but it can be a laugh with mates.
I have been finally ready to dive back into Skyrim to play the DLC. If I lose interest I still have Resident Evil:Revelations and a Son of Sparda mode waiting for me.
The Witcher 2, XCOM Enemy Unknown and maybe Resident Evil Revelations HD.
I'm going to wrap up Skylanders Giants and go back to Gears of War 3 for some Warzone.
Megaman X and Ghost N Goblins, play man games! lol
I've been replaying Mario Galaxy 2 waiting for The Last of Us to drop. I just started on Swapper 2 nights ago and that game is a masterpiece!
I'm going to try finishing up Tales of Vesperia and then move on to Grandia. I'm also gonna play some Alan Wake because I got it for 3 bucks on Steam.
I'll finish my druid play-through of Diablo 2 probably. I been holding out on that for a long time.
-Donkey Kong Country Returns (Wii): This game is awesome, but some of the levels are just evil...
-The Saboteur (360): The cult classics article motivated me to pull this out of my backlog after 2 years on the shelf, and I am loving it so far
-Sonic Allstars Racing Transformed (Wii U): I watched Wreck it Ralph again last night, and the Sugar Rush part made me really want to play Mario Kart U, but I had the next best thing to tide me over.
Sounds like a plan guys. I'll be, as people have probably noticed from my Live Profile, delving back into New Vegas again. For another 18 hours or so. ;-)
This weekend, I downloaded The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages/Seasons and The Denpa Men 2: Beyond the Waves from the Nintendo eShop and have been playing them. I beat the first dungeon in The Denpa Men 2 and have NO idea what to do right now. I've beaten the first dungeon in both Oracle of Ages and Seasons and have began the second in Ages. I can't find the Temple of Seasons, the second dungeon, in Oracle of Seasons, though. :/ I've also been watching SO MANY Animal Crossing: New Leaf videos on my Apple TV from YouTube and am almost going to die of anticipation for the game! I CANNOT wait one more week for it! I'm going to explode before then from anticipation!
Picked up LA Noire and Max Payne 3 from the Amazon sale so I'll be seeing what all the fuss is about.
I plan on playing as kreig on borderlands 2 and trying out mega man 2
Fallout 3 for me.
I just finished American Nightmare Story mode, so I'll probably mess around in Arcade mode for awhile to get some achievements.
I also started Quantum Conundrum, but it's pretty mediocre so far, at least vis-a-vis the game it apes (Portal).
There's also From Dust, Star Wars Pinball, and the Twisted Pixel bundle. Looks like an XBLA weekend for me.
Finished deadly premonition last weekend, it was a seriously weird game but I don't regret my time with it. This weekend I'm going to play final fantasy 8 I've never passed the beginning of disk two so I will be working on that
Back and forth between Lego Batman 2 and Sleeping Dogs.
