The lights are on
For those who have gauntlet envy after watching trailers for Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag: begrudge fictional characters no more.
A replica of Edward Kenway’s hidden blade gauntlet will be available for preorder with GameStop soon and is set for release in the fall.
Kenway’s gauntlet replica looks like real, aged leather with wrinkles to add to the genuine appearance. However, less expensive materials were used to meet the more wallet-friendly price of $39.99.
The piece is made by McFarlane toys and is likely to be a big hit with the Assassin's Creed cosplay crowd. Please note that the blade is not real, so it will likely not be so popular with the hard to reach assassin demographic.
Of course, if you'd rather put that money toward a digital version of the blade, you can pick up Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag on PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U on October 29, 2013. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are also in the works.
that is actually cool looking
"Blade is not real" pft, call me when you guys get serious.
That would be great for trimming my boxwood's.
I have one that they made for Ezio's gauntlet blade and I've got to say I was actually impressed, it's really well done (the gauntlet has a ton of detail) and the blade is impressive as well.
Looks awesome but we know its plastic just like Ezio's Hidden Blade.
On the dark side, LARPing just got cooler.
i will have to get this...
Looks pretty cool. I especially love the skull detail, very pirate-esque.
I got Ezio's hidden blade to go cosplaying as Desmond with. I'll probably pick this one up too, might even inspire me to go all the way with an Edward Kenway costume.
I have the Ezio version. Its cool but it doesn't really display well on its own. And its to small to fit over my forearm. And my arms are by no means large. So I think I'll take a pass on this one.
Ah, so its like the one they packaged with the special edition of II or whatever a while ago...
between this and the collectors "black chest" edition... I would rather have the collectors edition.
Oh that's right, they are not offering it in the us
