The lights are on
Mega Man X is coming to the Wii U's Virtual Console, and it will be here sooner than you think. Mega Man X will be available to download on Thursday May 30, and will offer all the amenities of the average Wii U Virtual Console game, including off-screen play.
I bought the game for my Super Nintendo when I was much younger, and I bought it again when it released on the Wii's Virtual Console. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't going to buy it a third time on the Wii U's Virtual Console next week.
We recently put together a piece on how to create the best Mega Man X game using the best features of each release, which you can check out here. I also recently discovered that your iPhone has a built-in Mega Man X ringtone, and you probably didn't even realize it.

Awesome, I've played nearly every game in the original Mega Man series, but I think the only Mega Man X games I've played were X2 and X7, so I may check this one out.
be nice to get full screen support or an option to re size the screen
Definitely going to have to get this!
Got the collection when it came out on ps2. Money well spent.
Arguably THE BEST GAME!!!! from all the Mega Man Series!!!!
I can't overstate how much I like this.
Awe man I can't wait
It would be awesome if your virtual console library was in a room, kinda like Xbox arcade rooms, but its like a bedroom with different bedroom or living room styles to choose from, and you get to select between your consoles, each rendered in 3D, with all of your purchased VC games on shelves, where you get to pull out their ORIGINAL boxes cartridges and instructions, also 3D, for you to look at (zoom, spin, page turn, etc.). This way, you'll feel like you own the game even more.
When you select the title to play from your library, the cartridge/disk, flies out of the case and into the virtual console and the game starts.
Mega Man X is the most fun I ever had in the Mega Man Series. I have been a fan since the very first game back on the NES ( I even still have the box of that one with the goofy artwork! lol). Anyway, I think what makes X stand out is three things:
1) Its very accessible unlike its predecessors which have "chew you up and spit you out" difficulty, especially when it comes to the bosses. In X, you can pick it up and do pretty well straight off the bat.
2) The Killer soundtrack, which is in my top 10 favorites among games like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 6 & 7.
3) The level design is unforgettably awesome! Unlike the Mavrick Hunter remake on PSP, The original X has everything in the perfect place to make each Boss Robot's stage a joy to play through.
Honorable mention is Zero who makes his debut in Mega Man X!
well kyle as long as you brought your wii vc games over to your wii u our in for a treat at only a buk fifty for this game.
Is it sad I can't even handle 9 without getting bored and frustrated?
I hope there will be another promotion to go along with this one. This week I got me all 3 Kirby games for like four bucks.
Here is how I achieved that. I had 60 cents left in my virtual wallet and was waiting to spend 50 cents so that I could receive 5 bucks free due to that deluxe bundle offer Nintendo has. Every 50 bucks spent in the e-shop gives you five bucks back. Since I had bought Kirby's Superstar on the wii I picked it up for one fifty and got my five free bucks. I payed another three dollars for kirbys dream course and got me Kirby 3 for free. Oh yeah.
Not to sound like Dick but I don't think news since its been on the wii for some time now.
Mega Man X one of the best games of the series to grace the Super Nintendo. It's a game that every fan needs to play and experience. ^_^
Hands down the best Mega Man game ever created. MMX and a Link to the Past were the two best SNES games.
