The lights are on
Xbox Live's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb has offered a statement on the used game issue that has been plaguing the Xbox One since its announcement. Microsoft has offered a number of conflicting statements on how the Xbox One will handle used games. Hryb's statement is still pretty ambiguous, but it's enough to clarify that the news that has been floating around has not been accurate. You can check out the statement below, which appeared on Hryb's Xbox Live blog:
"The ability to trade in and resell games is important to gamers and to
Xbox. Xbox One is designed to support the trade in and resale of games.
Reports about our policies for trade in and resale are inaccurate and
incomplete. We will disclose more information in the near future."
After Hryb's statement, we can effectively say that we don't know how Xbox One will handle used games, but it sounds like we will know more soon.

Really they would consider used games more important than borrowing? Come up with a system to let me lend games to my friends on Xbox One and then we'll talk.
I'd like to sate for the record that I will, in the near future, be prepared to announce that I will be waiting for any information about used games on the Xbox One.
Why would microsoft even consider this? They are just trying to get money from their customers but they are losing a lot of money because they are making customers mad!
"Everything you have heard is wrong, to help clear this up we are saying so." lol, carrot on a stick.
They want to charge you for everything but they're hesitant to come out and say it because of potential backlash...
I thought the whole point of having an official announcement was to actually announce your console, not tell people you're still thinking about it.
Being a couple of months from release, they don't have room to "change their minds" on the core functionality of the bloody console, just man up and say what you're planning.
I am a father husband and core gamer, and I no my family loves playing games. The real issue is that we have xbox family gold and we purches multi copys of games mustly two per title.and then let our kids play them after were done. Why should I pay for the game again so my son or daghter can play...
GameSpot and IGN can shut their god damn mouths now.
What everyONE should be worried about is Microsoft's plan for the Kinect needing to be active along with an internet connection in order for the XBOX ONE to work. Hmmm? A camera into everyone's home....sounds like a thrilling idea, where do I sign up??? Invasion of privacy on a whole new level......Let that ONE soak in, and see if anything else really matters. I will pass on that s***!
Well if the news wasn't true, all they would have to do is just come out and simply say "there is no charge for playing used games, at all"
But they have not done that, so any "plan" of theirs means that there will be some (monetary, service, contract, etc.) cost for playing used games... in my mind they just keep confirming this by not confirming anything, lol
It's either that or they are being smart and deliberately releasing conflicting information to see how much backlash they would get for using this policy
God Microsoft just can't please you people . You find something wrong with everything they do . O so they don't tell every single thing about console so what. The man said that everything hear which is not confirmed is inaccurate and incomplete. I've seen more news about the Xboxone in a day then the ps4 has released synced it was announced and was dies that tell you that Microsoft is more important then Sony. Just try and follow what I'm saying the more important something is the more coverage it will have.
I wonder of Microsoft just sits back and watches the ignorance pour out of people's mouth on here and ign. Rumor after rumor nothing every confirmed. I know it's your job to report all you find but you should still have some sort of regulation that if its highly plausible then don't post because all your doing is stirring the hornets nest
At least they are stepping up and saying that the current allegations are false. I wonder that they will do about it....
