The lights are on
EA Sports' Ignite engine will be powering the division's next-gen titles, but yesterday's reveal may not be exactly what those games look like on the upcoming systems.
Polygon talked to Andrew Wilson, executive vice president at EA Sports, who told the site that any Ignite footage shown at the Xbox One unveiling was pre-rendered using in-game assets in "a format that would be usable in this style of event." In other words, what was shown wasn't gameplay. However, Wilson added: "What I'm really happy to
say, though, is that our games right now are delivering on that, and in some
Here is the footage in question.
In other EA Sports next-gen news, MCVUK reports that the PC version of FIFA 14 will not be using the Ignite engine like its counterparts.

Yh making it avaiable only for consoles with Fifa 14 is going to really improve your reputation EA, but I guess you don't care. You like golden s..t awards
Wait wait wait! You're trying to tell me that that CGI trailer wasn't gameplay? You're lying!
It looked like cartoony crap, anyway. Fight Night Round 3 looks better than what was shown.
The people at Microsoft only know about 10% of their audience..they are taking a massive dump on the heads of the other 90%
Confirming the obvious!
People play sports on their pc's???? Why would you want to do that?
That scene where the one fighter kicked the other in the face, was the cheesiest thing I've ever seen. What happened to that engine with natural fluid dynamics? That was something worth talking about.
Big f***ing surprise. Any idiot with an eye for CGI could've told you that last night. It's the EXACT same thing EA did when they revealed "Madden Next Gen" for the Xbox 3607 years ago - it's their internal "target trailer". What they WANT to hit. But their engineers never, ever come close. And because their dumb sports games are annualized, the tech never evolves much during the generation since they can't improve it much before shoving out the next game.
You're either really young, really naive, or just plain stupid if you eat up the PR speak EA spews constantly. This Ignite thing was OBVIOUSLY bullsh**. All the animation was terrible too; you don't exaggerate animations when you're using "realistic" models - it just looks... cartoony? Spastic? Just look at the shot when the UFC fighter kicked the other one in the face and they practically pulled a "Facebreaker" (remember that failure, EA fans?) in terms of squashing and stretching. And then, being the geniuses they are, they went and used slow-mo to accentuate their animation failures. It's like they crossed the Uncanny Valley and found a completely other side to that hill where going too over-the-top with animations can again destroy how believable your model comes across. Congratulations with that, EA.
NO WAY! like anyone didn't already know that.
Then why don't you show actual footage next time, or not reveal until you have it? Common sense.
I figured but it still is disappointing since I truly enjoy playing fifa alot and ufc seems interesting now that ea is making it hopefully they make it like fight night franchise
It figures..EA's up to it's old just please our inverters trick again..didn't you people learn anything? i mean come on ,or are you guys trying for a 3peat of worst company award to add to your accolades. Here's a tip..you don't put on a condom unless s you're ready to fu*k get better or get out...
I'm too oblivious to notice those things.
