The lights are on
Wii U owners might be catching a break. EA chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen made a presentation at the Stifel Nicolaus Internet, Media, & Communications Conference yesterday, offering new information on the publisher's plans for the Wii U.
Last week, EA stated definitively that it has no games in development for Nintendo's home console. Yesterday, Jorgensen gave a different take, stating, "We are building titles for the Nintendo console, but not anywhere near as many as we are for PS or Xbox."
EA previously stated it was having trouble getting Frostbite running on the Wii U. We also know that FIFA and Madden will be skipping that platform this fall. Without Frostbite, the underpinning of EA studios' next generation development, it's unlikely we'll see marquee titles on the Wii U.

Not a surprise that EA wouldn't stick to their guns, they are a ridiculously awful corporation. Yet, even they aren't so stupid as to see how much this would hurt them in the long run. Personally I wish they had just stuck to them so we wouldn't have any EA shovelware on Wii U, but that's just me.
that sucks wii u is a good system why don't they get love like xbox one and ps4 they are blocking the nintendo fans hard and thats not right
It's EA. Who cares?
1st off Nintendo is the best game makers. The Wii U is 1 million miles above the competition. Sony and Microsoft look up to Nintendo. This makes EA look stupid. They can't handle the WiiU OS. Nintendo has been around since 1889(suck it sony)making card games. They know the gamble the odds and how to score. Nintendo has the science to making immersible FUN(hello Mico-games-are-soft)games. Bottom line EA is hopelessly stuck in the controller and has no desire to expand.
I have to reprint what I wrote before.
the comments have been froze on the previous article cause of all the backlash.
EA is admitting they just cant design for the Wii U...its out of their league. I'm sticking with my Wii and 3ds.
Soon I'll have the Wii U...I buy u soon baby. I love u Wii U.
I have never been more confused by the entire climate of the gaming industry than I have been this last month. Between the gaffes and the rumors, the backpedaling and the mystery, I don't know what's happening anymore.
