The lights are on
Microsoft just announced its new system called Xbox One. The system looks slick.
Here is a picture of the system. It looks pretty black and smooth and shiny, and you can see the new Kinect unit, which looks like might come bundled with the system. What do you think?

sports games and a fps woooo
Looking forward for PS4 on E3
I do like the shape of the new Xbox but the presentation was just bad. Too much focus on things that you can already do on current console generation (watch movies,tv,listen to music, browse the net)and just not enough info. on their new games.
It kind of looks like a PS3. I want them to focus entirely on video games, not the media/tv apps. It's a video game console!
It does look slick, I'll give it that.
Industrial Design: It appears intentionally designed to look like it is not a "toy," but a piece of professional-grade entertainment equipment.
Name: Microsoft seems to be hinting (once again) that the whole "sequential number thing" is beneath them.
lol looks like a giant dvd player haha so ugly
Looks bland physically but has some interesting, if not "fluffy" features like all the Kinect-centric stuff.
Not looking for an entertainment center master controller, just a new and better way to play games.
Wow it's like a giant cassette player.
Probably just as worthless
cool I always wanted a video game console that doesn't play video games
there is joy over sony hq and it seems pc will easily dominate this generation.
So we have the Xbox, the Xbox 360, and the Xbox One. I always referred to the first Xbox as the Original Xbox, but I know some people who call the Original Xbox the Xbox One, like with PlayStation Two and PlayStation One.
Pretty horrible staff you hired for naming your consoles, Microsoft. You had a console that made everyone think of spinning in place, and now you have a next-gen console that sounds like a first console.
Purdy cool design though.
Not really digging the two tone look and maybe it's just the way it looks but the controller reminds me of the original Xbox controller. Given the look they seem to be going with for Windows 8(simple, clean squares) the design makes sense but they took the box part of the console name too literally.
I see they tried to envoke the design sensibilities of the Philips CDI. Just google it...
