The lights are on
Steven Spielberg appeared in a short pre-recorded statement to announce a live-action Halo television series. It's unclear what Spielberg's role in the show is exactly, but he spoke about how excited he is about video games as a medium of storytelling, and professed his appreciation for the Halo franchise in particular.
343 Industries is directly involved in the series, and the success of the Halo web series, Forward Unto Dawn, influenced the decision to expand the show into television.

Oh Hell yes!
Steven freaken spielberg! !
Halo won't stop until it gets its own amusement park.
I'm trying...but I just can't get excited about this
Wow. The negativity is staggering.
HALO IS PEOPLE!
The only good announcement at the show. -_-
I actually think that this has a lot of potential.
Don't forget that Spielberg was behind Saving Private Ryan. I'd like to see the focus taken off of MC and on the other soldiers. Heck, a series about the early career of Sgt. Johnson would be grand.
I truly love the Halo Universe but an exclusive Halo TV isn't a good enough reason for me to purchase the...uh Xbox One. If they announced Halo 5 or another Halo game this system would have been a day one purchase.
If its as good as the most recent Halo online mini-series. I will give it a shot for sure.
he did an excellent job on band of brothers with what im sure was a much smaller budget than what Microsoft will give him for this
Sweet, foward unto Dawn was great and so was Spartan Ops!
