The lights are on
What's a next-gen console
war if not a chest-puffing match? Here's a quick look at the tech specs of the newly
announced Xbox One from Microsoft and Sony's PlayStation 4 as we currently know
Keep in mind that there
is a lot of stuff we don't know yet about either system, and that specs are
just one facet of the story.

reveal of the Xbox One, take a look at our Hub story.

The only difference is that the xbox fanboys will have to pay for online haha dumb@$$!!.
Ps4 for me. I play alot of imports and I understand specs. Free online always beats pay to play.
I'm a diehard gamer and tech geek so I'll eventually own them both depending on the launch and if there is any hiccups with the hardware. Plus I got a 6-core AMD CPU in my comp and it's pretty badass so I'm in no hurry.
This gen will come down to two things price and exclusives.
The only big difference in this chart. is the RAM speed. 8GB of DDR3 and 8GB of DDR5! we still don't know which console will get the better GPU. But both are from AMD.
Wow. Very comparable, not like the current generation when PS3 was way better than the 360.
just because you have xbox or a playstation doesn't mean you have to be like a little nerd and say "all the other systems suck" why not just like the other systems too. theres nothing wrong with joining all the sides
Ha, and the idiots over at IGN are all like "the Xbox can play games?" and "psshh the PS4 has WAYYYY better specs than the Xbox 1" The only noticeable difference is really the DDR3 vs the GDDR5, but if anyone actually knows what they're talking about, that is really minor compared to the CPU and GPU (which are almost identical). I actually have to say that the Xbox One is the superior console in technology especially since it draws additional storage and power from the cloud, while the PS4 is a closed system. Unless I am totally staggered by increased online fees and a price over $650, I am probably going to get the X1.
While they look similar, the fact is that the 8GB of RAM is misleading. PS4 can use the majority towards games (a little for the OS I'm sure) but Xbox One can only use 5GB for games. Really, 3GB is needed to run the three different Operating Systems in the One? Yeah, *rolling eyes* cause we need all three of those.
like to hear more on the playstation 4 like what does it look like have't seen any picture and game that will come out when ps4 come out
Actually, thats wrong. The PS4 has a Custom GPU.
I feel sorry for anyone who defends or chooses this dookie over the PS4. Opinions aside, the facts that Microsoft has slapped you in the face with this time and if you accept it that means you are telling them and other companies that this behavior is acceptable. That reveal was gag worthy and the stuff they are going to force people to do to play their games is ridiculous.
The way I look at it is you have a software company that is building a machine specifically to run on their software (Microsoft) and then you have a hardware company making a machine built around inferior software (Sony). And even though technically its all firmware, Microsoft is going to know better what hardware they need to maximize the performance of the software running on it better than Sony. While Sony may have had superior hardware in the PS3, it came out a year later, and only those intimately familiar with programming on it could truly unlock its potential after admittedly hating programming on it.
Probably gonna end up with both again, just like this generation (and last, hmm...). Probably end up playing only exclusives on the PS4, all cross-platform games on the Xbox. Mostly because I can't stand Playstation controllers. That's one thing Microsoft never managed to screw up.
