The lights are on
Currently, friends lists on Xbox Live are limited to 100 people. For the Xbox One, that amount will be multiplied significantly to allow up to 1,000 friends.
Confirmation of the expanded friends list comes from the official Xbox Support Twitter account. Xbox fans on Twitter asking about rumors of 1,000 people friends receieved a confirmation that simply stated, "1000 friends is indeed confirmed." This is small feature, but one that many have requested.

I wouldn't even have 1000 friend's Id even want to add. However it's nice to see that it's an option to have if you just like to add random people
That's great news, since your average gamer has 1,000 online friends to play with. But that should actually help gaming media like Game informer when it comes to early access and playing with developers.
List are limited to 100, not 50
Seriously? Even if I did get one, I'd have...2 friends I think.
That's a far cry from the 14 that I currently have, lol.
