Nintendo Bringing E3 To The People

by Mike Futter on May 17, 2013 at 06:30 AM

Attending E3 is a thrill and a wonderful opportunity to get a sense for the coming year of new releases. As a viewer at home, you might be wondering how you can get in on the action. This year, Nintendo is giving you that opportunity.

During today's Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo of America Reggie Fils-Aime announced that the company has partnered with Best Buy to bring exclusive demos to over 100 of its stores. Nintendo was quiet on which games would be available, but we're hopeful that some of the unannounced titles saved for E3 reveals will be on-hand.

Nintendo continues to shift its E3 strategy. The public invitation comes after announcement that there won't be a traditional stage presentation. Fils-Aime and famed designer Shigeru Miyamoto will be available for press at an intimate booth presentation on Tuesday June 11, 2013, prior to the opening of the main halls of the Los Angeles Convention Center.
