The lights are on
Update: The survey is now closed. Thanks for participating!
In anticipation of the reveal and eventual release of the next Xbox, we want to know what Xbox owners think about Microsoft’s consoles.
It seems like only yesterday that Microsoft was taking a gamble by challenging giants Sony and Nintendo with a new console of its own, and now the company is a success in the market and preparing to release the third iteration of the Xbox.
Have you owned the Xbox or Xbox 360? Please take a moment and click on the link below to take a quick survey (some questions may require answers to proceed), the results of which will be used in a future issue of the magazine.

who designed this survey?
have more open questions and some questions could be made better, I'm no expert but you guys should talk with one, because some questions made me feel a little bias.
Question 20 really needs an "I don't know yet" option. We don't know anything about the next Xbox, it's all rumor. I'd also like to see a lot more of the PlayStation 4 before deciding if I'll get one. I ended up just selecting both since I figure I'll get one of the two eventually.
I've owned my Xbox 360 since June 2008 and I can say honestly that I am more than satisfied with my online gaming experience. I have had 1 instance of "Red Ring Of Death" back in 2010 but Microsoft Technical Support was able to replace my Xbox 360 free of charge and I have had no trouble since. I really enjoy the Microsoft exclusives Halo and Gears of War which is why I own every game in both respective series but I do hope that for this new generation of Microsoft gaming hardware, more amazing IP's are created because I've noticed recently that SONY tends to take more risks with their exclusive games and delivers fantastic titles such as Journey, Heavy Rain, and the upcoming Last of Us and Beyond: Two Souls. If Microsoft can create a more diverse array of exclusive games that are of the utmost quality like Halo and Gears of War then I will continue to support them with my money...
i just filled out the survey
Mine broke 4 times and the only reason I kept dealing with them was because they replaced them for free at first or they were cheaper than the ps3 for deployments. Gonna wait on the xbox this time around. See what it has to offer and if it has any problems similar to the red ring o' death.
The 360 was such a great console. I hope the next xbox continues that trend.
since it didnt ask, ill just post it here
i love my xbox360, but i feel it needs to make a couple of changes twords how it handles its customers. as an xbox live gold member, AND a playstation plus member, i feel sony offers far superior subscription plan. not only is it cheaper to go with sony, but you get deeper discounts, and lots of free (not to mention excellent) games.
xbox should offer a better silver model, and do a better job of rewarding its members.
I don't regret buying the xbox 360, but honestly, buying the ps3 wouldn't have made much difference. I use it only for the console exclusives. Arcades are fun too.
I'll stick with pc for a couple of years before deciding which console is best for me.
Sweet! I'll make sure to fill it out in a little while. I had the original XBOX (didn't get a 360), and I may buy the next XBOX if it looks promising and Microsoft plays their cards right.
the survey doesn't ask me how satisfied I am with my xbox it just asks me about my games and how long I've owned one. for the record I'm pretty unsatisfied with xbox
I filled it out. Good survey, guys!
Got through 3 Xbox because of the overheating resulting in 3 red rings. Also lost a PS3 because of that. Still use my 360 more for games and my PS3 for blu-rays and movies. I like the dashboard better on the 360 and especially the store. The PSN store is just a mess and takes forever to load.
Sony didn't impress me with the PS4 so I'm waiting for the next Xbox reveal.
As I get older I get less and less excited about consoles in general but the 360 in particular kind of lost steam after a while. It was really in its stride around the time forza 4 gears 3 and halo reach were current multiplayer destinations but then the next game in those franchises took turns toward the filthy casuals. I'm ready to dump Xbox and just support ps4 out of the gate. I didn't do that last time and I regret it because ps3 struggled out of the gate and took a few years to get really great. PS and its legacy are so much more legit than Xbox. I'm psyched bungies next game is mutliplatform because halo was my favorite Xbox exclusive game (alongside forza). I look back at this gen and it is clear to me that Sony won it for me though I had many great times on both consoles. I might also add that ms points and the denominations in which they are sold compared the prices of games is the most diabolical scheme ever created in the history of e commerce.
