The lights are on
Silicon Knights' GameCube classic Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem is still a favored survival horror game for many, so it's not surprising that some are getting excited about its possible spiritual sequel Shadow Of The Eternals. Studio Precursor Games is hoping that gamers will get even more excited by a recent nine minute demo of the game that they'll join the crowd-funding campaign.
If you're interested in reading more about this project, earlier today we posted an editorial about the troubles facing Silicon Knights and the awkward development shift over to Precursor Games. In spite of this trouble, it seems like a great deal of work has already been done on the new game. Check out the nine minute clip below.

Just...guh...this is something to be scared of and to scream about in happiness at the same time...
Sequel or not im excited for this "Spiritual sequel" just don't erase my saves and don't make me kick puppies to shoot lightning!!!
All I know is the game industry needs more Lovecraftian games. It's such a hugely untapped horror genre.
I was more impressed of 2 minutes of Deep Down than this game

It's... something I guess.
Anyone else notice that the church in the demo is actually the same church from Eternal Darkness? I specifically remember that side staircase leading up to that small library/study area with the passage behind the bookcase. Pretty cool callback to the original.
