Go Behind The Scenes With The New Command & Conquer

by Bryan Vore on May 09, 2013 at 11:53 AM

Electronic Arts has released the first in a series of developer diaries on the new iteration of Command & Conquer (shown above) with plenty of in-game footage.

If you haven't been following this game, it was formerly titled Command & Conquer Generals 2 and was to be released via traditional retail and download methods. Last year, EA announced that it was going free-to-play and would simply be called Command & Conquer. On top of that, the developer's name has changed from BioWare Victory to just Victory Games.

Now that that's out of the way, the new C&C is looking pretty slick in the video above (much praise is given to DICE's Frostbite 2 engine, which powers the game). Hopefully, the fact that EA's releasing a video series means that the beta sign-up period will turn into the beta-playing period soon.

If you're interested in trying this out early, head to the official site to sign up for the beta.
