The lights are on
In the absence of a proper, numbered sequel in the Kingdom Hearts franchise, gamers have been left with re-makes and portable side stories. And still, an HD compilation of the series progenitor, its first spin-off, the Re:Chain of Memories, and the Nintendo DS' 358/2 Days is an appealing package.
Square Enix has decided to sweeten Pooh's honey pot just a bit more. In addition to the reasonable entry price of $39.99 and the inclusion of trophy support, the publisher is adding a collectible art book to the package. It will feature a hardcover and samples from three entries in the franchise: Kingdom Hearts, Chain of Memories, and 358/2 Days.
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix arrives on September 10 for the PlayStation 3.
The full press release is available on page two.

Looks awesome! I'll be going out later today to pre-order.
I own the original kh1 but I want that art book
I'm in sound ok to me
That art book makes me want to preorder this!
Don't really care about the artwork book but can't wait for the game to come out.
Probably wont pre order but I'm thinking of getting this for a few reasons. 1. I used to have the original and loved it but I never beat it because I was like 11 when it came out and sucked at video games. 2. I already plan on getting the ps4 so I wanna get all caught for if and when KH3 ever comes out
Well I was planning to preorder anyways just so I wouldn't forget about it but this adds icing to the cake. Plus I need to revisit Kingdom Hearts so I can freshen up on the story again. I just hope they can get this done, KH 2.5 HD (come on if they are making a 1.5 HD Final Mix, they obviously more then likely will make a KH 2.5 HD Final Mix game as well to follow, more then likely), Final Fantasy 13 Versus, and then get their bums working on KH3. I like the KH series and all but this wait for the third installment is a bit rediculous now.
Mostly I believe they need to make these remixes because if you even want to know what the third game is going to be about you are going to need to know what the spinoffs were partially about since there has been so many between the second game and the unannounced third game. Not everyone owns handhelds so they are more then likely trying to get everything now out on consoles so those without handheld consoles will know what is going on.
In anycase I'm still going to buy this, just hope they will move onto KH3 soon rather then later.
Even if this came without Chain of Memories, 358/2 Day, and the artbook, I would get this because it's Kingdom Hearts. Being able to relive my favorite game of all time is enough for me. I've not been able to play the handheld titles, so this is a nice bonus. Hopefully by the time a 2.5 HD comes out, we'll finally get the third game. I figured PS4 launch title, but I guess that was wrong
I haven't played kingdom hearts in years. I think playing the originals over again will be fun.
dang...another reason i need a ps3
