The lights are on
Google has hired Noah Falstein, someone with a long history in game development, and given him the title chief game designer. Outside of those few details, we no nothing else. Falstein confirmed to Gamasutra that this is all true, but he couldn't say anything else.
"I can confirm that the title and job is accurate. Can't say more at this time, sorry!"
Falstein has worked with companies like LucasArts, 3DO, and Dreamworks, but lately his focus has been on his consultant work with his company, The Inspiracy.
What do you think Google is planning to do with Falstein? Publish games? Develop games? It's all very mysterious.

Well, kinda expected, seeing how much Google is willing to take on every realm of technology. :P
You know in some TV shows they show things like hacking to be a fully 3D environment (Jurassic Park)? I'm imaging our searches being the same way, a labyrinth of doorways, and the further you go from the starting point, the less helpful the link will be.
Make cool search engine doodles.

Ohhhh! I love mysterious news :)
Making the Google Biographical and Interactive Game are we? :p
I hope it's for the mini Google games that sometimes replace the Google logo on the website.

Another example of Google vertically integrating itself.
