The lights are on
This year marks the 10-year anniversary of Call of Duty. Since the release of Call of Duty 2 in 2005, the series has had annual releases. In celebration of the announcement of Call of Duty: Ghosts, we came up with 50 ways for Activision to keep the series fresh.
We're serious about all these:
Email the author Ben Reeves, or follow on Twitter, Google+, Facebook, and Game Informer.
I want to high five Dennis Rodman
In all seriousness, 1-5 & 23 would make Call of Duty seem very new.
Other than that, I want all of it and more.
Street Comedy: Stream of Consciousness/my arm itches.
WOW This was awesome.Still laughing at some of these idiotic ideas and I don't care for call of duty anymore like most REAL gamers do.
The campaign of the last CoD games I played were already 25 minutes long; this list is now only 49 changes.
Until people stop buying the game and content and Activision is not turning a massive profit, they will continue to keep producing the games. Why would a company stop to invest more time and quality when people buy it in droves. The masses are lemmings that see the name and buy it no matter what it is.
I stopped playing COD becuase I got frustrated with the stale re-hashes, but I always look to see if I can get back in. These are the key things that you pointed out that I think are MUSTS:
No invisable walls or points that stop you. Think Battlefield where you die if you are outside of the "zone of play" after 10 seconds.
Bigger maps. Really. It's ridiculous how tight some of these maps are. Whatever happened to strategy?
Oh wait, I'm just pushing for another Battlefield ...
My favorites are 22, 39 and 41.
number 27 made my day..still laughing
It makes financial sense to release this on current generation, even though it's supposed to be a "next gen" engine and all that.
I can't wait to see if that means the current gen version sucks - or the next gen version sucks.
Alright, I'm on board with all of these. Make it happen!
Well the first 5 sounded good.
If I can say, Practically all of that list made me laugh.
This list is good. But my list for what they need to keep CoD fresh is:
Stop making CoD games. Forever.
I thought I was done with this list by around #25, and then I read #47. Good show, sir!
Awesome article. I glanced and saw a giant list, I was like 'wow, they are definitely going to be picking out details', but after the first 5, I was laughing out loud.
There is hope for this franchise yet, it would seem. If they follow this list, that is.
