The lights are on
[Updated] The teaser trailer for Call of Duty: Ghosts is available below. Additionally, we have received confirmation of the November 5 launch date. What is unexpected is that Call of Duty: Ghosts will be shown for the first time on May 21, 2013, at the Xbox: The Next Generation Revealed event. It will be available on PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and the next Xbox.
Try not to act surprised, but a new Call of Duty game has been announced. The box art leak we shared last week has turned out to be correct, and the full title is Call of Duty: Ghosts.
Not much else is known right now, but we can piece together a few details based on the cover art, the name, and Activision's track record with the series. The figure shown on the front of box seems to have a mask similar to that of Modern Warfare 2's character Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley.
Ghost was killed in action, but not before building a following thanks to a starring role in a limited-run comic series. It could be that Infinity Ward will wind the clock back to put the hero front and center in this year's installment.
An early November release is expected, following in step with past iterations. Black Ops II was released on November 13, Modern Warfare 3 arrived on November 8, and Black Ops was on November 9. A rumored promotional poster spotted by IGN seems to indicate a release on the first Tuesday (November 5) rather than the second.
Now that the cat is out of the bag, we're expecting more details shortly.

Gee willikers Batman, another Call of Duty!
That was the stupidest trailer I've ever seen from any series with such a high profile track record.
I am interested to see what the new engine looks like, other than that I am not expecting it to be revolutionary gameplay wise. It will likely be the same old Call of Duty, a fun diversion but nothing more.
So it's CoD: Deadliest Warrior? I guess that would involve more work than copy/paste so probably not.
I will end up getting this just like half off the world.
Oh well. We all knew it was coming. This is why I'm not buying AC black flag. Yearly releases loses quality and just are money grabbers. Well Cod is. At least Madden, 2K, and AC try to make the game better. But besides 2K, the upgrades hurt the game more then making it good and AC is just becoming stale with each game.
Got them all but MW3 (I did not like it at all) so this one, Ghost, I'll sit out on this one. When I skipped MW3 I played BF3 instead. Man I'm so glad I did. All my friends did the same and it was a amazing time. A breath of fresh air all around. Now we are back at it with BO2. I personally think waiting another year and taking a COD break is a great way to beat the fatigue. Plus BF has so many things that are just not possible on COD. Love them both for my FPS itch.
On a side note, I figure the next Treyarch COD will take full advantage of the next gen hardware. So I look forward to that one.
So now they are ripping off of Ghost Recon? Seriously, can they actually come up with an original product anymore?
its going to be good i wonder what the difference will be between the generation consoles
