The lights are on
[Updated] The teaser trailer for Call of Duty: Ghosts is available below. Additionally, we have received confirmation of the November 5 launch date. What is unexpected is that Call of Duty: Ghosts will be shown for the first time on May 21, 2013, at the Xbox: The Next Generation Revealed event. It will be available on PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and the next Xbox.
Try not to act surprised, but a new Call of Duty game has been announced. The box art leak we shared last week has turned out to be correct, and the full title is Call of Duty: Ghosts.
Not much else is known right now, but we can piece together a few details based on the cover art, the name, and Activision's track record with the series. The figure shown on the front of box seems to have a mask similar to that of Modern Warfare 2's character Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley.
Ghost was killed in action, but not before building a following thanks to a starring role in a limited-run comic series. It could be that Infinity Ward will wind the clock back to put the hero front and center in this year's installment.
An early November release is expected, following in step with past iterations. Black Ops II was released on November 13, Modern Warfare 3 arrived on November 8, and Black Ops was on November 9. A rumored promotional poster spotted by IGN seems to indicate a release on the first Tuesday (November 5) rather than the second.
Now that the cat is out of the bag, we're expecting more details shortly.

Wow. I'm not surprised though.
I feel bad for all the stupid gamers who are brainwashed by activision to be believe that call of duty are the best games out there and are constantly wasting money every year on the same exact game that they've been playing since call of duty 4
Curious idea, I suppose. Kinda sounds like the type of spinoff Gears of War Judgment was.
Might pass on this I seem to get bored of the same old COD.
Still not gunna get it.
One of my friends has been saying they'll make this game since MW2 came out. That was the last one I purchased myself, so they're gonna have to show me some solid changes if they want my money. Already have Battlefield 4 pre-ordered.
Well this could be interesting. I will most likely give it a try and see how it is. Hopefully the story is good, i actually play those games for the story sometimes. Multiplayer will be just fine like all call of duty games these days.
I think I'm done with Infinity Ward's efforts after the garbage that was Modern Warfare 3.
So we should expect a trailer during tonight's NBA playoff game. They do it every year.
Running a new engine so expect some change.
Wow, a new game every year? Stupid, money-grubbing bastards. Take a year off and create an amazing game! I was done with the CoD series after MW3.
