The lights are on
A talented engineer and programmer has created a water tube that raises and lowers its water level to represent your life or mana meters.
The video below shows the building process, as well as the tube in action while bfayer plays Terraria. Lights have also been added to make the whole project that much more magical. If you're impatient you can skip to the 4:42 mark to see the liquid lifebar in action.

That's a neat project. Who doesn't like pretty colors?
If I could get this mounted on my monitor I might actually be interested in it as a consumer.
This is great. Imagining using something similar with Zelda, but have several heart shaped globes for the water to fill in and rises to a new globe when you acquire full heart pieces so it'll start off filling up 3 and increase to more hearts later.
Lol, that's pretty epic actually.
that is kind of cool but I doubt it will ever be produced as a consumer product
I WANT ONE!!!!
That's pretty cool. I'd totally get one if I could. Might make me have to pee though...
cool bit of engineering. And I like that set up he's got in the game.
I wonder how difficult it is to set this up for each game. I imagine it's just a matter of finding the health value in the game files but that seems time consuming.
That is awesome. I want one of those in my life. Just as a fun art item.
If it would remove it from the HUD, that's awesome!
Now that is really cool.
its no Doom guy face......
Is there no limit to human ingenuity? People never seize to amaze me!
