The lights are on
A new update to Super Mario Crossover, the popular flash game that lets you play as other iconic NES characters in Super Mario Bros., is getting an update that will add new levels.
The new levels come from an obscure Japan-only port of Super Mario Bros. that released for the Sharp X1 and the NEC-PC8801 PCs. As you can see in the trailer below, this version of the game added new power-ups and enemies, and has a slightly different color scheme. Along with the new levels, there are also added difficulty settings.
For more on the game you can head to Exploding Rabbit. There's no specific date on when 3.0 will be ready, but it should be soon. The Lost Levels have also been promised, but this version of Mario Bros. took priority.

Cool beans. Ryu for the win.
I've been meaning to try this out for a while. I guess now is the right time to do so.
Put this on 3DS eshop NOW!!! lol
Man I used to play this game a lot. I think it's about time to get back into it.
This is amazing, how have I not heard of this game?! I have to go play it right now!
That guy wearing the crown kinda looked like Dan Ryckert.
Everyone talks about how good NES games are, but no one talks about how hard they are
Quite interesting. Also, did he really mod FF's Shadow as a playable character skin? That sounds amazing!
This is like a brand new game and near endless potential. ^_^
Wow!! You get to play New Super Mario Bros. 2 too! Wart was one of Mario's greatest enemies! And it gave us a break from Bowser...
