The lights are on
Capcom is on a mission to release all of the Mega Man soundtracks to fans in North America, and they're one step closer to making it happen. Now you can download the beloved soundtrack to Mega Man 2.
The download will set you back $8.95, which is a pretty great deal. As you can see from the listings above, the soundtrack includes 42 different tracks, including Dr. Wily Stage 1. If you aren't acquainted with that one, listen to the a cappella rendition below from YouTube superstar Smooth McGroove.
Head on over to Capcom's online store to pick it up.
Email the author Jeff Cork, or follow on Twitter, Google+, Facebook, and Game Informer.
I'm probably going to get one of these soundtracks...
Yeah, I dunno.. that seems pricey. Love the inclusion of Smooth McGroove though, that guy is awesome.
Smooth McGroove is so cool. But can you put down the cat for a moment, man? Lol
Mega Man 2 is the one that really matters.
I'd imagine some people will buy this, but most of those who wanted these tracks probably already have them. Maybe 15 years ago would've been better timing?
All of this Mega Man swag Capcom keeps putting out is a halfhearted way to celebrate the guy's 25th anniversary. I understand giving the series a break until they come up with fresh ideas for it, but when you announce that you are going to celebrate something, you should go all out. Otherwise, what's the point of doing it at all?
This game has the best soundtrack of the Mega Man games, imo.
Played through Mega Man X this weekend, getting all the way to the Sigma stage. This is the first Mega Man game I have really enjoyed. (for the record, old school Mega Man platformers were before my time, and I have enjoyed other Mega Man games, but I haven't gotten far enough to really get into them) Hopefully it will also be the first Mega Man game I beat!
Still waiting for Mega Man 6...
I'd rather just listen to Smooth McGroove. The singing sensation of 2013!
Mega Man X still has the best soundtrack imo buuuuut this one's awesome nonetheless.
A complete collection of game music from Mega Man 2 for less than ten dollars... sold. ^_^
I should note for audio aficianados that there have been some reported problems with some of the tracks, and depending on how well you know the tracks it might be a problem for you.
....Also, whatevs, Capcom. You want my money for a Mega Man product?
Make a game....
