The lights are on
Confirming rumors from last month, Sony has now officially announced the Jak and Daxter Collection for the Vita handheld.
The collection – already on the PlayStation 3 – includes Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II, and Jak 3, and is scheduled for release this June.
Apart from bringing the look and feel of these classic PlayStation 2 games, some of the titles' minigames will utilize the Vita's touchscreen. The Vita Collection also has its own set of Trophies.
It's unknown of Mass Media – the developers behind the PS3 Collection – are handling this port as well.

I hardly think the Vita is 'dead.' I welcome this one. While I didn't pick up the HD version for PS3, this I want so I have it portable. My PS2 still works so I never bothered with the PS3 collection. And While the Daxter and Lost Frontier games are decent, the main trilogy was where I loved to romp.
i'm happy about this, I don't see myself playing these games on my big screen at home but I'd definitely play them on the go on my vita.. The touch screen additions irritates me however. I just got my vita and am really irritated with uncharted golden abyss for forcing me to do touch motions and tilt motions, it is cool aiming the dragon sniper rifle with the vita though!
Will have to buy retail version as i am not shelling out for another dam rip-off memory card :-s.
I will definitely be picking this up for my Vita. :)
I'm gonna buy the PS3 one
Oh, very good, very good.
