The lights are on
PopCap is bringing its popular browser-based word game to
iPad and iPhone. The game puts a nice spin on the familiar Scrabble-derived
formula. In this case, you have a playfield of tiles, which refill from the top
as you eliminate tiles by creating words of adjacent letter tiles. It's not rocket
science from a game design perspective, but this easy and addictive casual
experience should be a winner on iOS.
Bookworm Heroes does add a bit to the base game by adding
pets which give you extra bonuses or damage your opponent (which you can
connect with through Facebook integration). It's a free download, but PopCap
does sell coins to unlock various in-game items. The game is for sale now at
the iTunes store.

Well I normally suck at spelling. Yet Bookworm seems to always draw me out into playing it and I do rather good. Though I call BS on what I know are in fact words and Bookworm says it isn't. I always wonder what freaking dictionary they are using. As it is clear it is a good one.
Good lord I thought Bookworm died a long time ago. I forgot about this game, it's pretty nifty to see it come back to iOS, no droid? (not that I would get it)
