The lights are on
Final Fantasy Versus XIII was first announced in May 2006, and since then has been a specter haunting Square Enix. Nary an interview goes by with key franchise personnel without the title being brought up (and hurriedly dismissed). We've even put together our own timeline of the title's wending way through development.
In a conversation with director Tetsuya Nomura on the first episode of Square Enix Merchandise Radio (an official corporate podcast), the topic of Final Fantasy Versus XIII was raised. “It’s a delicate situation within the company,” Nomura stated.
After a promise that the date is set for the next information reveal, Nomura drops one more interesting tidbit. "Perhaps the details as to why information couldn’t be released might be touched upon with the next information announcement."

IT'S A SECRET TO EVERYBODY.
Someone I know has been waiting for this game forever!
They need to quit jerking us around, we pay their bills for cryin out loud. Show us some respect and GIVE US SOME ANSWERS
I hope they finally reveal info at this years E3! I've been waiting too long for this!
...is there anything new that can be said at this point without a full demo or the final release? I think we've beaten the topic to death.
Had they released this game sooner I would have already bought a PS3. Alas, I dedicate to only my Xbox maybe when it gets much cheaper only if they don't release it for PS4. Still this fantastic looking game taunts me from development hell.
They should have made this one prior to the other FF XIII. The Kingdom Hearts Formula is more successful.
