The lights are on
We're sorry to both lift and dash your hopes at the same time, Vault Dwellers. This tease is not for a new Fallout game. Today, Bethesda teased something new with a four-second Vine (Twitter's short movie service).
At first glance, the barbed wire and musical terms that flash through might lead the hopeful to believe that a new Fallout would be announced soon (especially since it had been recently hinted at by a Fallout 3 voice actor). Alas, a tweet from Bethesda vice president of public relations and marketing Pete Hines has us looking for other ideas.
One good suggestion comes from BioWare senior gameplay designer Manveer Heir who tweeted this,
The barbed wire certainly fits the Wolfenstein aesthetic, and the series would be a good fit for next generation hardware, marrying a known intellectual property with a franchise that can be safely rebooted or expanded upon. The good news is that even if this tease has nothing to do with Fallout, there is still hope that a new adventure in the post-apocalyptic wasteland might be in development. After all, Bethesda is a publisher as well as a developer. It stands to reason that they have multiple projects underway simultaneously.
What do you think Bethesda is hinting at? You can check out the Vine here.

On the LP record says: The Moonbeam Trio, national association of braodcasters, Langworth Feature Programs, Johhan Sebastian, Air on the Gstring, Orchestral Suite M..., Any guesses as to how are they connected? Air On the G String is a musical pecie by Johann S, Bach, but the MoonBeam Trio reference is not so easy to get. Maybe they are connected by the era of realease....
ugh hopefully not Rage 2 or another Wolfenstien game I doubt many people want to see another Wolf game let alone another Rage
not interested at all if its really wolfenstein, although im hoping they are taking a page out of kojima's book and just trying to throw us off the fallout trail
**BRAAAHHHH**. Still waiting...
Well given the fact that Bethesda will be "making some noise" this year, I'm not at all worried that this has nothing to do with Fallout. This is obviously just the beginning of the grand orchestra that Bethesda will have made by the end of the year. I'm sure Fallout will be a part of that orchestra; it's just a matter of time.
Well if it has anything to do with Dishonored I'm there. If it has anything to do with The Elder Scrolls, I'll stop paying attention to it right there. Dishonored was the first Bethesda anything that I actually was excited for and enjoyed. I haven't played Fallout so I wouldn't know on that but I'm not going to waste my time with more Elder Scrolls news.
i wanted fallout.... im starting to cry....
hope wolfinstein is a RPG.
I'm sure we'll get three more Call of Dutys... two new Metal Gears... The Death and return of Mario... Fallout III: Episodes from the Wasteland... A new Medal of Honor... Aliens: Colonial Marines II... A new Nintendo console... the resurrection of Game Genie... a resurgence of light-gun games... an Ouya emulator... (i think you get the point) before Fallout 4 sees the light of day....
Hopefully it's Project Zwei, but maybe that's too much of a stretch.
are you sure it's not fallout? when you pause during the spinning ad with the marble in the middle it almost looks like the please wait slide from the fallout loading screen.. i might be seeing things cause i want a new fallout pretty bad too.
I want to kill more raiders :(
Pete Hines is a delusional d0uche.
Well, I was half right. It's not a new ip but i'm glad they're doing something other than fallout and elder scrolls.
Next gen wolfenstein?! Hell yeah.
i hope it really is fallout....im not sure my heart could take if it wasn't. im not sure if they have the rights to wolfenstien. idk how people guess its prey or tes tho,it says new york and is based on earth,so those are completely out of the question. Hines better be lying...
One of the flashes of words said the moonbear trio.. sound familiar to anyone??
