The lights are on
Shovel Knight, the Mega Man/Castlevania/Duck Tales inspired platformer seeking funding on Kickstarter, has more than met its funding goals.
Developer Yacht Club Games opened its Kickstarter seeking $75,000, and it ended yesterday with a grand total of $311,502 pledged by backers.
Shovel Knight is planned for release on PC, Linux, Mac, Wii U, and 3DS, and you can head here to vote for the game to appear on Steam as part of its Greenlight program.

That's a lot of money for a game like this. But I'm not complaining, it looks great!
Saw the demo on Miles923 Youtube channel & it looked like good old school fun.
Now that's some awesome nostalgic gameplay. I love me some Megaman and Ducktales!
Gettin' this on Steam. I was sold the minute they mentioned Mother 3 as inspiration for their creation process and humor style
Nice! It's good to see independent developers get as much love as these guys with this game. I'm definitely going to purchase this on the Wii U when it releases. :)
Well thats fantastic. The game looks delightful, and I shall definatly be picking it up for PC when it comes out.
Lovely. I am in the mood for some 8-bit goodness.
I've been following this kickstarter for weeks. Good for them. I can't wait to play this game.

Somewhat surprised it hasn't been announced for the Vita, lol.
