Bioshock Infinite Gets Collectible With New HeroClix Set

by Mike Futter on Apr 12, 2013 at 09:39 AM

The intersection of video games with tabletop experiences is becoming more common. One of the publishers at the forefront is NECA-owned Wizkids, known for Mage Knight, Quarriors, and HeroClix. The latter property remains largely focused on superheroes, with interesting subsets drawing inspiration from horror films, Star Trek, and a number of different video games.

Bioshock Infinite is the latest to join the ranks already populated by Halo, Gears of War, and Assassins Creed. Coming this summer, the set includes 20 different figures. Six are available in the starter pack seen above (complete with play maps of Founders Pavillion and a ruined Columbia), with an additional fourteen in random single-figure packs. (Note: This is a different game than Plaid Hat's Siege of Columbia.)

In addition to Booker and Elizabeth, Daisy Fitzroy, Zachary Comstock, Handymen, and Boys of Silence are available to collect (among others). The sculpts in the HeroClix line have improved significantly since the product first launched over a decade ago. While new powers and rule tweaks have been woven in over the years, the game still remains accessible for those that might otherwise be intimidated by tabletop games like Warhammer.

You can learn more about Wizkids and HeroClix on the official website.
