The lights are on
Rayman Legends, the formerly Wii U exclusive platformer, was delayed seven months earlier this year, but according to Rayman creator Michel Ancel, the team is using the extra time wisely.
Official Nintendo Magazine published an excerpt from an upcoming interview with Ancel on its website where he talks about what the team has been doing with the extra time, and what he thought of the fan backlash when the delay was announced. Michel said, "I wasn't shocked, but it was really hard for us. Of course, there are more important issues and problems in the world but we worked really hard to make something and were so involved, it was difficult for us and the fans."
As far as the new content goes, Ancel said the team has been able to add 30 new levels and several new bosses with the extra time.
Rayman Legends is coming to Wii U, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 this September.

Seems like they made the right choice!
What should happen is all the "new content" should be on the disc content for Wii U and paid DLC for PS3 and Xbox360. THEN! lets hear the storm of fury from the internet when they do that! lol
Nice to see that some extra content will be worked into Rayman Legends in the span of time since it was delayed. Will look into this game when it launches later this year.
Sounds terrific, can't wait till it's down to 20 bucks after a month or so and pick it up used :)
Okay, now i'm pretty happy for this delay. If they didn't do this and just ported it within the 7 months, then i'd still be angry, but they're giving us 30 new levels and some new bosses! That's awesome! I can't wait to check out this game when it releases!
I feel bad for these guys. I can only imagine the frustration that must come with being completely out of control in such a situation, simply because you have a publisher that just seems to do whatever it wants regarding release dates. The damage this delay could do the game and the Rayman team when it finally lands is immense. Having a release date that coincides with other major games, gamers who won't purchase the game out of spite for the release date change, and not to mention the loss of hype over time... these are all very serious concerns for a "small" game like Legends.
More like "Please buy our game even thought we screwed you Wii U owners over"
i need it for wii u
At least they took advantage of the extra time.
They are still shooting themselves in the foot, lets just hope I have enough money to get it come this September, I'll most likely be playing Wind Waker HD anyways and then Batman Origins and Assassins Creed Pirate Edition comes out in October...
Why can't they just make a Rayman like Rayman 2?
I'm still really angry about the unnecessary delay, but this news does bring some much needed positivity to the long wait.
Still unhappy it was delayed.
Seems like the Wii U crowd is still pretty pissed as am I. Had it pre-ordered but backed out when they went multi platform. The biggest issue was that the game was FINISHED ready to ship and a lot of people bought a wii u based on the in store demo of this game. I honestly don't care who is at fault here both UBI and the developers can kiss my ass.
